Dentistry and Medical Research (DMR) is a double blind, reviewed, open access journal. It is conceived to be a scientific platform for the fresh men in the field of dentistry and medical research and all their related branches, to promote researches and practices. The DMR will bring, with its issues, original research, reviews, opinion papers, case reports, and letters to editor. Here an attempt is done to adopt an inclusive and integrated approach towards medicine and all its branches.
The DMR plans and will exercise rapid review of the submitted manuscripts and publication of manuscripts of scientific worth to get a wide variety of the subjects incorporated in its issues. It will try knitting a web of fine balance between the publications of research in various branches of medicine. Therefore, researches and reviews, with a touch of clinical implications written in simple yet with lucid style that could benefit students and clinical practitioners in various fields, are welcomed. As cherishing positivity is possible only when we learn to understand negativity, at DMR, we appreciate the honest reporting of negative results. It is also important to note here that plagiarism is a menace, rising from dishonesty, for the entire scientific community especially for the journals. The DMR has zero level plagiarism tolerance policy. The DMR also upholds the open access credentials for the benefit of both the authors and readers and wishes to be a beacon in widening the horizons of knowledge.
At the very start of our journey, the DMR received manuscripts from various corners of the globe. The editorial board of the DMR takes this opportunity to thank our esteemed research contributors for submitting their valuable works for the first issue of the DMR and our reviewers for reviewing the selected articles. However, as the DMR follows and exercises international criteria and norms for selecting and publishing the manuscripts, we also had to make some hard choices. We could not include many articles of our colleagues around the globe who showed their interest in the DMR by submitting their manuscripts. However, we would like to invite them to submit their manuscripts to the next issue of the DMR by adhering to the policies and manuscript guidelines of the DMR.
The DMR aims to serve the medical community in particular and the general populations at large by publishing original researches and making them available for world fraternity. In this regard, we need support from the dental and medical fraternity-the editors, editorial board members, the reviewers, the authors, and the readers. Therefore, I welcome and appreciate any cooperation, advice, suggestions, and feedbacks from the professionals related to this field.
